1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Story Threads application ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Service.

Story Threads is part of Dive Deep Dialogues and is operated by SILVER WOLF Productions (ABN 66 376 765 633), a business based in Australia.

2. Description of Service

Story Threads is a family storytelling application that provides:

• The Where to Start quiz, which suggests chapters to begin with
• Chapters on catching, keeping and telling family stories
• Interactive tools for capturing and exploring family stories
• Progress tracking
• Data storage (on your device, with a backup of your tool work in your Dive Deep Dialogues account if you sign in)

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Your Account

You can use Story Threads without an account. To back up your tool work, sign in with a Dive Deep Dialogues account, the one free account for all Dive Deep Dialogues apps. You create and manage it at auth.divedeepdialogues.com, with an email and password or with Google.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us promptly of any unauthorised use
• Providing accurate information during registration

4. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use and protect your personal information.

4.1 Data Storage

• Local Storage: Available to all users for device-only data storage
• Backup: Available when you sign in with a Dive Deep Dialogues account, for use on more than one device
• Data Ownership: You retain full ownership of your personal data

5. Access and Cost

• Some modules unlock once you have completed earlier modules
• Signing in with a free Dive Deep Dialogues account adds a backup of your tool work, which you can use on more than one device
• Story Threads is free to use. There are no subscriptions, free trials or in-app purchases.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our Service:

• For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to unlawful acts
• To violate any international, federal, provincial, or state regulations or laws
• To transmit, or procure the sending of, any advertising or promotional material
• To impersonate or attempt to impersonate another user
• To engage in any other conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use of the Service

7. Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Story Threads is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, therapy or counselling. The Service is designed for educational and family storytelling purposes only.

• Always seek the advice of your doctor or other qualified health provider
• Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read in this application
• If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or your local emergency services immediately

8. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content, features and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of SILVER WOLF Productions and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever including, without limitation, a breach of the Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SILVER WOLF Productions, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law, whether under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer law of the country where you live.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. If you live outside Australia, you may also be protected by the laws of your own country, and these Terms don't take those protections away. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before any new terms take effect.
